The Professional Experience of Guy Sands-Pingot

Guy Sands-Pingot has a resume that would put many other senior executive service professionals to shame. Beginning after his college graduation and the obtainment of many Master’s degrees, Sands-Pingot has held numerous positions within the United States Army and many other organizations, focusing in the reconstruction of war-torn areas and human capital management.

From 1989 to 1992, Sands-Pingot served as a Senior Consultant for Change Management at Arthur Andersen Consulting in New York City. He left this position to work for the United States Army, serving as a special operations and civil affairs officer in Bosnia and Croatia until 1996. After this assignment, Sands-Pingot expanded his Eastern European expertise by serving as an International Relations Specialist and Program Integrator for the Military Stabilization Program for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He served in this position in Sarajevo until 1998.

After obtaining additional education at the US Army War College, Sands-Pingot served as a Joint Task Force and Brigade Commander for the 360th Civil Affairs Brigade. From 2003 to 2005, he was stationed in Fort Jackson in South Carolina and Afghanistan. After this position, he served as a Special Access Programs Oversight Officer at the Pentagon until 2008. Concurrently, he served as a Commanding General for the 353rd Civil Affairs Command in Staten Island, New York.

Sands-Pingot also served as a Deputy Inspector General for the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction from 2008 to 2010. Before retirement, Guy Sands-Pingot was the Director of Human Capital for the Office of the Chief at the Army Reserve. He served in this position from 2014 to 2018 at the Pentagon.
